Snowy Mountainous Landscape
Oh, to be living in a winter wonderland. I think all these mountain-themed pieces I've been inspired to create lately come from a lifelong urge to run away to the mountains and live in a nice cabin somewhere. This particular piece began as what was supposed to be a sunny summer landscape. But, the winter-obsessed side of me prevailed and the mountains and surrounding flat landscape gained snow (or wool if you like to think literally). This piece reminds me of the time just after Christmas. With snow partially melted, revealing the beginnings of new springtime flowers. The plants are trying so hard to grow and are finally succeeding again.
