Lulworth Cove
Lulworth Cove is near West Lulworth village and is a really popular part of the Jurassic coast. I spent around an hour sitting and watching the little boats bobbing in the cove and looking out at the cliff edge and sea beyond. And 6 months later, I was still thinking about it. So, I decided it was time that it made its way into my embroidery!

This unique piece of embroidery is in a 4x4 inch wooden embroidery hoop. The fabric has been dyed using extremely lightfast watercolours. It depicts Lulworth Cove in Dorset, England.
I spent a few years living in the county of Dorset in England. This piece is based on Lulworth Cove, one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Most of my pieces are based on the English landscapes I have lived around, but this one is a place I have only had the opportunity to visit twice. The first time, the weather was grey and stormy and the second it was bright and really hot. Both were beautiful but something about the sunny views really struck me. Everywhere I looked and everywhere I photographed could have been the front page of 'Visit Dorset' magazine.
